Our Purpose

Calvary Chapel South Cheyenne believes God has called us as a local church to be purposeful about three things:

• TO KNOW HIM

  • We purpose ourselves to know God. To know who He is, His character, His will, and His relationship to the world and believers. Specifically we want to be in right relationship with God.

    • John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

• TO GLORIFY HIM

  • We purpose ourselves to glorify God. Our overwhelming desire as we go through life is to direct all praise and honor to God.

    • 1 Chronicles 16:28-29 “Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples, give to the LORD glory and strength! Give to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him!”

• TO MAKE HIM KNOWN

  • We purpose ourselves to make Jesus known to the world. The church is to be used by God to share the good news of Jesus in our neighborhoods, communities, and the world.

    • Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Amen.
